Drew J. Brown IV, MD, FAAOS provides comprehensive evaluation and management for a wide range of spinal illnesses including:

  • disc problems

  • spinal stenosis

  • scoliosis

  • sciatica

  • fractures

  • dislocations

  • tumors

  • osteoporosis

  • spine infections

  • unsuccessful previous surgery

Treatments for spine conditions include surgical and non-surgical remedies. First-line of treatment is most often nonsurgical management including:

  • bracing

  • non-narcotic medication

  • epidural and/or facet blocks

  • cervical and lumbar specific physical therapy aimed at posterior chain relaxation with core building exercises to help aid in mobility and ambulation

If these treatment methods no longer provide sufficient pain control, surgical options are available including:

  • minimally invasive decompression for the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine

  • cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal fusion

Scoliosis treatments can include a more complex approach with combined anterior and posterior fusions, possible osteotomy procedures will help aid in achieving spinal harmony and sagittal balance The approach and fusion methods employed are tailored to each patient which will range from anterior, lateral, oblique and posterior.
